Seth Godin: The Tribes We Lead

Could it be that the very key to our future – the Internet – is causing a revival of past social behavior? Well-known blogger and entrepreneur, Seth Godin thinks so.
In a fascinating video from Ted.com (below), he explains how the “tribes we lead” originate from the world wide web. When we connect with others with similar interests across boundaries and oceans, “ordinary people [get] the power to lead and make big change.”
You too can find other people that are interested in distributed generation renewable energy, thanks to the Internet!
Just consider how you can find and join tribes that share your passion for clean energy research. By acting small and thinking big, you can not only join a “tribe,” but the tribes can connect together for the greater good, perhaps driving the discovery and development of new alternative energy resources.
We can see the potential for such concerted action, here at Build, Baby Build – which is why we want you to join our “tribe.” Or, you can form your own, local BBB tribe. Your first big gathering can be during BBB week, from May 31-June 6.
By bringing together members of a tribe that share similar passions and concerns, and then spreading the word out to help form additional, new tribes, we’ll build an army to advance against the threat of global climate change. We will ensure our future success.
I think Seth Godin is onto something with his theory of the Tribes We Lead. What do you think of the video and the idea?
