Greenspotting Contest is Underway
As we build up to the first annual Build Baby Build week (May 30-June 6), don’t forget to submit your entries for our Greenspotting contest. Each week from now through BBB week, a new winner will be announced to take home a cool Black and Decker energy savings device. Our first winner will be announced soon!
If you are interested in submitting an entry, please review the greenspotting contest rules:
Total promotion is limited to 5 Black & Decker Power Monitors and 5 Thermal
Leak Detector. Weekly winners will be based on the total number of
Greenspotting submissions. Only comments with appropriate responses that
follow the giveaway directions will be approved. Invalid comments will be
deleted since they do not meet the requirements for an entry. In the event
of a tie, a winner will be selected randomly from the eligible
Greenspotters. A final giveaway winner will be randomly selected and
announced at the end of Build Baby Build Week (May 31- June 6, 2009).
Greenspotters are only eligible to win once during the promotion. Winners
will receive one (1) Black and Decker Power Monitor OR one (1) Black and
Decker Thermal Leak Detector. Contest is open to U.S. residents 18 years of
age or older only; void where prohibited. Winners will be notified via email
and must respond within one week. If you do not respond within that period,
another winner will be chosen.

Greenspotting on Sunday
Although I’m not eligible to win, I did manage to do some greenspotting last weekend on a trip. Another great example of distributed generation renewable energy devices can be found with solar powered boat lifts. Check out my photo to the right. Combining outdoor recreation with solar energy, makes total sense, to me.
You too, can help us spread the good word about renewable energy projects across the nation. Its so easy to Greenspot! We’ve published several posts on how to be a greenspotter. All you really need is a camera, and don’t forget to use your common sense!
For a refresher, here’s the Code of Conduct:
I promise to respect all private property, restricted public lands, and not trespass on any private or restricted land whether posted or not I promise to respect the privacy of individuals and companies that do not wish to have their site documented, photographed, or otherwise listed I promise to use caution at all times when traveling and to use public transportation whenever possible I promise to have fun and to encourage others I meet to join the Greenspotting movement and support local renewable energy
Tomorrow, we’ll post photos and a summary of our pre-BBB week meet-up on May 18 at Legal Sea Foods in Boston. We had a blast meeting up with other renewable energy supporters in the area.
As always, please contact us with any questions or comments! We want to help you succeed with your Build Baby Build gathering in a few weeks.
