Online Media Interns/Greenspotters
BuildBabyBuilld is recruiting for Online Media Interns/Greenspotters. Get hands-on-experience to start your career as a blogger or reporter, or if you want to work in the in the renewable energy industry in marketing or public relations.
Requirements include:
- Conduct online research about renewable energy activities/projects/stories in your community
- Write 1-2 blog Posts on the BuildBabyBuild Blog each week
- Contribute to traffic-generating activities through participation on social media sites including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and The PickensPlan
- Host/sponsor a Build Baby Build event in your community (optional)
Build a portfolio of published work and learn the key principles of blogging, online marketing, and social media optimization.
Qualifications
- Smart, dedicated, hard working college student or recent graduate
- Excellent writing and communications skills
- Proven ability to work hard in an independent environment
- Previous blogging/social media experience
- Interested in renewable energy and/or ‘green’ subjects
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work from home (high speed Internet connection required)
Term
- May – Sept. 2009
- 15-20 hours per week
- Flexible hours and the ability to schedule around another job or classes
- Work from anywhere in the US
- Provide your own laptop or desktop PC (work from home)
- This position is unpaid, no salary or commission
